What is an internship supervisor ?
The internship supervisor is an employee of the company who supervises the intern on a daily basis.
It is he who will define the various missions relating to the student's internship.
It also works in close collaboration with the educational institution.
He must report to the latter any absences of the trainee and / or work accidents occurring during the period of the traineeship.
What is the mission of the internship supervisor ?
The internship supervisor will welcome the intern within the company. He will also be in charge of his integration into the team. To do this, he will instill in him the culture and principles of the company.
The internship supervisor will provide the student with the necessary information so that the internship takes place under the best possible conditions. the trainee , for his part, will respect the instructions given to him.
The internship supervisor will therefore train the intern throughout the duration of the internship. :
He will also have to guide the student in the various tasks which are transmitted to him.
The trainee can be entrusted to another competent person from the work team.
However, the internship supervisor will ensure the smooth running of the assignment.
Tools, necessary for the assigned work, will be made available to the trainee so that he can carry out his mission in the best conditions. To do this, increasing and interesting responsibilities will be entrusted to the student.
During the entire duration of the internship, the internship supervisor will meet regularly with the intern to review them. He will check the tasks performed and will listen to the latter on these different needs, his expectations and the difficulties he may encounter.
The internship supervisor and the tutor will be part of the jury before which the intern will support his internship report or thesis.
Good to know : for an apprentice, the person in the company responsible for the latter is called the apprenticeship master. For the professionalization contract, it is a tutor.
