What is an internship in the CLEFS networks ?
The internship in a company is the ideal solution to familiarize yourself with the world of work.
However, since September 1, 2010, it must be integrated into a school or university educational course, the concept of which is defined by the articles L. 612-8 to L. 612-14 of the Education Code .
The Law n ° 2014-788 of 10 July 2014 specifies what an internship should be : " The periods of training in a professional environment and internships correspond to temporary periods of setting in a professional environment during which the pupil or the student acquires professional skills and uses the acquired knowledge of his training in order to obtain a diploma or certification and to promote professional integration. The trainee is entrusted with one or more missions in accordance with the educational project defined by his educational establishment and approved by the host organization. "
The internship in a company can be compulsory or optional.
The conditions for being part of an educational course
To be part of an educational course, the internship in the network must meet several conditions :
the purpose and terms of the internship are defined in the organization and training ;
the teaching volume must be EN minimum hours per teaching year (internship periods are not included) ;
Good to know : the decree n ° 2017-1652 of November 30, 2017 provides details on the calculation of the training volume of 200 minimum hours.
In the context of school education, the volume of 200 hours must be given in the presence of the students. In the context of higher education, the volume of 0 hours must be a minimum of 50 hours given in the presence of students.
the internship is the subject of a restitution by the student ( internship report ) giving rise to an evaluation by the establishment.
If these conditions are not met, other internships can be organized and integrated into a course, within the framework of :
of training courses that allow a reorientation, they are offered to students, in particular on the advice of the guidance services or of a manager of the teaching team of the training in which the student was initially involved ;
additional training intended to promote professional integration projects, and validated as such by the person in charge of the training in which the pupil is enrolled ;
periods during which the student temporarily suspends his presence in the establishment where he is registered to exercise other activities exclusively allowing him to acquire skills in line with his training. In this case, in addition to the internship agreement, the educational establishment and the company conclude an educational contract.
